The direct answer

This is a real store build—not a stripped-down demo.

The offer is designed to give a US small business a complete, credible Shopify storefront that is ready to move toward launch. We handle the structure, presentation, basic content, product setup, Shopify configuration, revision process, and ownership handoff needed for a strong first version.

It is not a promise of unlimited custom development, professional photography, or a full ecommerce growth program. The goal is a genuinely good store with enough strategy, content, and polish to launch—not an enterprise project disguised as a free offer.

Included in the free store build

  • A new Shopify client transfer store created for the business
  • A complete storefront with the pages and sections reasonably needed for launch
  • Store structure, menus, navigation, collections, and customer paths
  • A suitable theme configured and adapted to the business’s needs
  • Basic brand styling, launch graphics, typography, colors, and image placement
  • Basic launch-ready copy for core store content
  • Setup for up to 10 products, up to three collections, and reasonable product variants
  • Standard Shopify setup involving payments, shipping, taxes, domains, notifications, and essential store settings
  • Basic page titles, descriptions, image text, and other on-page search foundations
  • Mobile review, functional review, and launch preparation
  • Reasonable in-scope revisions, typically through as many as three consolidated rounds
  • Ownership transfer, handoff guidance, and 14 days of email support

A new store is required

This offer does not involve entering, editing, redesigning, or migrating an existing merchant-owned Shopify store. Overtime Innovations creates a separate new client transfer store and sends it to the business when the build is complete.

A business that already has a Shopify store may still apply, but it must be comfortable receiving a newly built store rather than having the existing one modified. Large catalog, order, customer, or historical-data migrations are outside the free offer.

How the free Shopify launch works

From application to ownership transfer.

01 / Apply

Tell us about the business

Share the products, current materials, launch goals, and any features you believe the store needs.

02 / Define

Agree on the practical store

We confirm fit, organize the information, identify what still needs to be drafted, and establish the direction.

03 / Build

Create and revise the storefront

We build the new client transfer store, add the products and content, configure Shopify, and work through reasonable revisions.

04 / Transfer

Send the finished store

We initiate the ownership transfer, provide handoff guidance, and begin the 14-day email-support period.

Timeline and revisions

We plan for 10–15 business days of working time.

The target begins once we have enough information to start useful work. Overtime Innovations expects to complete its portion within approximately 10–15 business days for a standard accepted build.

The overall calendar may extend when the business takes longer to answer questions, provide facts or assets, review work, approve a direction, or resolve a decision. Time spent waiting on the business is not counted as working time on our side.

Revisions are flexible, but not unlimited.

Reasonable revisions within the agreed storefront are included, typically through as many as three consolidated revision rounds. A revision improves the agreed direction. Replacing that direction, adding substantial new functionality, or expanding the project beyond a normal storefront is a scope change.

Where the free scope ends

Standard storefront work is included. Custom systems are not.

Included in the free buildOutside the standard free scope
A complete storefront with the normal pages, navigation, products, collections, content, settings, and polish reasonably needed to launch.Custom apps, advanced integrations, subscriptions, memberships, wholesale systems, multilingual implementations, large migrations, complex international selling, or unusually complicated shipping logic.
Basic launch copy, straightforward product-description help, and practical graphics created from available business and product information.Professional photography, large original illustration packages, extensive brand development, advanced conversion copywriting, or a full SEO and content strategy.
A theme selected, configured, and adapted to fit the store’s normal design and functional needs.A specific third-party paid theme or paid app requested by the business. The business purchases any requested paid product.

A custom or complex request may be declined, simplified, or discussed separately. Acceptance into the free program does not obligate Overtime Innovations to provide functionality outside the agreed store.

Business responsibilities

We can draft the store, but the business must confirm the facts.

Overtime Innovations can help organize the offer, draft basic product and company copy, create straightforward graphics, and prepare enough content for launch. The business does not need to arrive with a finished website packet.

The business remains responsible for providing or approving accurate product facts, pricing, claims, inventory, fulfillment decisions, returns, shipping details, images or image rights, and legally required information. Policy help is general setup assistance, not legal, tax, or accounting advice.

Third-party costs remain with the business

The build labor is free. The business is responsible for its Shopify subscription, domain, paid themes, paid apps, transaction fees, payment processing, and any other third-party products or operating expenses it chooses or requires.

When the ownership transfer is accepted, Shopify requires the new owner to choose a paid plan and provide billing information before the store can operate as a live paid store. Delaying that step does not delay the start of the support window.

Handoff and support

Day 0 is the day we send the completed store.

Handoff occurs when Overtime Innovations sends the completion notice and initiates the Shopify ownership transfer. That day is Day 0 of the support period, whether the business accepts the transfer immediately or waits.

Fourteen calendar days of email-only support follow Day 0. Support covers build-related corrections and basic questions about the delivered store. It does not include new products, new pages, redesigns, new functionality, marketing execution, advanced SEO, or ongoing store management.

Ongoing ecommerce, content, SEO, email, analytics, and store support may be requested separately, but purchasing additional work is never a condition of receiving the free build.

Eligibility and selection

Built to help a broad range of US small businesses.

The program is intended to accept many straightforward small-business launches, but it remains application-based. Overtime Innovations reviews the business, products, requested functionality, fit, and available capacity before accepting a build.

Required

US-based business

The business must be based in the United States and sell lawful products permitted by Shopify.

Flexible

Existing materials are not mandatory

We can help draft basic content and presentation, provided the business can supply and approve accurate facts.

Application-based

Acceptance is not guaranteed

Requests can be declined because of capacity, complexity, product concerns, poor fit, or other legal, ethical, reputational, or technical concerns.

Optional

Portfolio permission

We may ask to display the finished store in our portfolio, but permission is not required for acceptance.

Common questions

What businesses usually need to know before applying.

Is the store build really free?

Yes. There is no fee for the agreed standard build. Shopify subscriptions and all other third-party costs remain the business’s responsibility.

Will you work inside my current Shopify store?

No. This program always creates a separate new client transfer store. Existing merchants must be comfortable receiving a new store rather than having the current one edited or migrated.

How long will it take?

We target 10–15 business days of work once we have enough information to begin. Waiting for answers, assets, feedback, or approvals can extend the calendar date.

How many changes can I request?

Reasonable changes within the agreed direction are included, typically through as many as three consolidated revision rounds. New features or a new direction are outside scope.

Do I need finished copy and graphics?

No. We can create basic launch-ready copy and graphics. You must provide or approve the factual information, and the free offer does not include professional photography, advanced branding, or a full SEO plan.

What happens when the store is finished?

We send the completion notice, initiate the ownership transfer, and begin the 14-day email-support window. You accept ownership, choose a Shopify plan, and provide billing when ready.

Does applying guarantee acceptance?

No. The offer is designed to serve many small businesses, but every application is reviewed for fit, complexity, product concerns, capacity, and feasibility.

Do I have to buy ongoing services?

No. Additional support is optional. The free build does not require a maintenance plan, marketing package, or other paid engagement.

Shopify planning resources

Understand what must be ready—and what you will still pay.

Use the launch checklist to prepare the complete store, then use the cost guide to separate Shopify plans and payment fees from domains, themes, apps, shipping, taxes, and operating expenses.
